Clutton WI in 2011
2011 is going to be an exciting year for Clutton WI members, as it is the 90th anniversary of its formation. In addition to the usual monthly meetings with speakers, events are being planned for each month. One of the highlights will be an open day in August when everyone will be able to see what Clutton members do and how the WI contributes to members’ lives . A Book of Memories is being worked on showing how the WI was formed and its activities which have been enjoyed in the last 90 years.
Other events are a visit in February to the BBC to see how Radio Bristol, Points West and Bristol based programmes are made. In March there will be a Coffee and Cakes for members at the home of the President Nancy Adie. A boat trip up the River Avon in Bath is planned for May and a Safari lunch in June. July will see members visiting a NGS garden and in October the celebration 90th birthday dinner has been booked. Plans are still in progress for April and September.
