William and Hester are both on the 1851 census as living in Margaret's Hill, Walcot, Bath. If these deaths are correct why were they buried in Clutton? Previously they were in Walcot, Bath where William was a butcher. His sons Charles and John were also butchers. William's wife Hester died in Mar 1855 in Clutton. I cannot find William in the 1861 census in Bath or Clutton. Neither can I find his death. There was an elder son James, who also became a butcher, he moved to Eglwysilan, Glamorganshire, Wales around 1839. William Smith and his wife Hester were possibly living in Clutton from 1851. Previously they were in Walcot, Bath where William was a butcher. His sons Charles and John were also butchers. William’s wife Hester died in Mar 1855 in Clutton. I cannot find William in the 1861 census in Bath or Clutton. Neither can I find his death.
