    Guy
Does anyone have any information on John Waite GUY born Clutton abt. 1809. Also his “brother?” William Guy born Clutton abt. 1802. Both living in Birmingham by 1851. All searches for the baptism of John Waite have proved fruitless, there is however a William Guy, baptised Chelwood, could this also be the location for John’s baptism? Any help in knocking down this brick wall would be gratefully received. Please contact Sarah.

    Gregory
Adopted by Charles Gregory a radstock school teacher and his second wife around 1924.
No birth certificate or adoption record.Bath Ringmaster Message Number 3273

Given the name of Eileen molly Gregory and birthday 26th February 1918 by the adopted parents. Never told birth name or who birth parents were.
Charles was married before to a Lilian ward Gregory, they married in 1892 and had a son Clifford born 1895. Lilian died 1911.Their son clifford married an edith Gladys West in 1916.
I have found this information by searching the census and BMD for the radstock/midsomer norton area.Charles died when eileen was still young, and Rhoda the second wife my “adopted” mother would never tell, she found it enjoyable not to tell me.
I was told, my mother died and my father died in the war. I do not know if this is true.
I was taken from an Orphange/workhouse when i was very young and then lived as the daughter to Charles and his new wife.
I am unable to find out what happened to Clifford and his wife Edith, i would appreciate any advice on how to find out if Charles Gregory and his first wife Lilian had any more children between the 1901 census and 1911 when she died.
I believe the “adoption” was a family secret. Contact Eileen if you have any information.

    Hillman
I’m really interested in anyone who has any more information on the Hillman family. Uriah Hillman b 1835 and his wife Elizabeth Carter b 1841 and their children, Uriah b 1861, Mary, b 1864, Elizabeth Ann b 1872, Hannah, b 1867, Alexander b 1875, Robert 1876 and Nathaniel b 1884. I’m particularly interested in Nathaniel as he is my great grandfather.

Also I know that they lived in Church square at one point and have seen the photo of this on this website – do you know what the date is for this photo? I’m just intrigued as to whether this was taken at a point they were in residence.

    Many thanks
